Well folks, we may not have a Kindle 2 this holiday season as we were all really hoping.

According to TechCrunch, the second generation of Amazon’s Kindle was on a track for a pre-Christmas release, but from reports Jeff Bezos himself ordered last-second software changes and ruined all our holiday gift ideas.

Sadly, it doesn’t look like we will see the mysterious Kindle 2 until next year.
