The third generation of Harmonix’s Rock Band will be released October 26, just in time for your Halloween party.

According to the company, the title will ship on October 26th in North America, with the Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions priced at $59.99 sans hardware and the DS rendition at $29.99. Hop on past the break if you’re interested in learning about your wealth of pre-order options.

Also out is Kevin Smith’s surprising cop comedy Cop Out with Bruce Willis, Tracy Morgan and Seann William Scott.

The Iron Man 2 DVD will be available both in a one and two disc package as well as a Blu-Ray combo pack, though we are still waiting on prices for these options.

Iron Man 2 of course follows Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) taking on new villain Whiplash, played by none other than Mickey Rourke.

Come July 18, you will be able to purchase the new Samsung Captivate which will run Android programming and start at $200 with two-year contract of course.

With its launch, the Samsung Captivate will earn the distinction of being the most advanced smartphone with an Android base for AT&T, which has recently released several smartphones built on the Android program

Similar to other Galaxy S versions, the Samsung Captivate will run on the Android 2.1 program, and will later be upgraded to 2.2 by late summer. The smartphone boasts a 4-inch AMOLED display, 5-megapixel camera, 1 Ghz Hummingbird processor, 32 Gigs worth of storage, and Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth capabilities.

According to several sites, the white iPhone is expected to be released by the end of July, although don’t set your heart on that date, as we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see this handset in August sometime.  But don’t let yourself get down, it could be that given the late release, all this death grip stuff will be solved in the white version.

Internet reports claim the Nokia N8 is scheduled for an October release and the Nokia E7 is penciled in to follow it to market in November.

GSMArena started the rumours after it reported on a leaked phone release roadmap that found its way into the website’s journalists hands.

The Nokia N8 is being touted as a flagship smartphone for Nokia who are struggling in an increasingly competitive market.

It packs a 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and an Xenon flash; HD video capture and a HDMI port for streaming video and images to your TV; Dolby Digital Surround sound support; a Symbian^ 3 operating system for much faster browsing; and well integrated Ovi services and apps.

The Nokia E7, which GSMArena thinks may be the rumoured Nokia N9 and a successor to the Nokia N97, is scheduled to be released in November, just in time for the Christmas period.

It is thought to have an aluminum body, run on Symbian^4 and have a QWERTY keyboard, four-inch touchscreen and an eight-megapixel camera.

Nokia’s new Head of Mobile Solutions Anssi Vanjoki has said that Symbian was the best platform to challenge rival phones such as the HTC Desire and iPhone 4. It had previously been thought the manufacturer was going to move its phones over to its MeeGo operating system in the future.

MobileShop had previously reported that the Nokia N8 would be released by the end of August, it seems this may have been a bit optimistic.

In the fastest turnaround yet in the Final Fantasy gaming series, the latest installment will be released early in 2011.

Square Enixhas just revealed that the PS3 Final Fantasy XIV will hit stores come March 2011 while a PC version will available much earlier, September 22, 2010.

Square Enix has just announced that Final Fantasy XIV will be hitting the PS3 in March of 2011, while the PC version will land on September 22nd of this year. Square Enix has also announced that the game will have a $12.99 monthly subscription fee with up to seven more characters costing approximately $3 per addition.

While this pricing scheme is currently set for the PC version of the game and the PS3 price is not known, it will most likely follow this pricing scheme. A collector’s edition was also announced for PC, and while it comes with a plethora of extras, it is not known if it will also come to the console version of the game.

While we all know it’s not uncommon for games to miss their initial release date, it does seem a bit off that there is no reason as to why the second installment of Dead Rising has been pushed back.  Guess we’ll  just have to wait until September to find out.

Fans are already getting their tickets online for the premiere of Eclipse in two days and we’re almost embarrassed to announce we might just have to tag along this vampire go-round.  I mean, it’s Edward, people.

Starting this Friday you can line up to get your hands on a new iPhone 4G with the rest of us who didn’t get to a pre-order in time.  Best Buy stores will be stocking anywhere between 20 and 70 handsets in each store though currently there is no word as of yet if the stores will actually have the white models.
