Well, it’s a sure thing now.  Ghost Busters 3 has an official release date.

The third film in the ectoplasm series will hit theaters May 2011, so start planning on what to wear.  The movie will star Ernie Hudson with, of course, some reprisals by the original cast, though no confirmation on who just yet.
