After months of speculation and rumors, we finally have an official release date for Sprint’s new Palm Pre.

We reported in April that the Palm Pre would be released on June 7, but it looks like we were one day shy of the target.  Mark June 6 on your calendars where the Palm Pre will be available for sale at Sprint stores as well as Best Buy, Radio Shack and some Wal-Mart store locations, and of course, online at sprint.com.

You’re going to be paying $200, with a 2-year Sprint contract but you can take advantage of a $100 mail-in rebate if you go with the Everything Plan with data or their Business Essentials with Messaging and Data plan.

Not the best price, but it’s the coveted and highly-anticipated Palm Pre, so you know you’re going to pay it.
