X-Men’s Wolverine Hugh Jackman is vowing (and tweeting) that Mexico City will see the newest X-Men film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, on May 26.

The Hollywood blockbuster was pulled earlier this month due to the swine flu scare while 20th Century Fox was working on a timeline to relaunch the film.

Twittering, Jackman posted Friday, “My thoughts and prayers have been with all of those that have suffered directly or indirectly from the swine flu in Mexico.”

“I will bring Wolverine to Mexico City on May 26 to provide a moment of fun escapism and a treat for some of the loyal fans of the comic.”

Wow, who knew Wolverine could be so sensitive.
